Move, Zoom and Snap

If Understand, Make and Explain describe the three main purposes of Linkology, and COGS gives us four useful reference points, then Move, Zoom and Snap describe what we can actually do with those points.

They are operations.

Move changes position.

Zoom changes scale.

Snap creates or recognises a connection.

Together, they provide a simple way of exploring a network without assuming that every link has to be discovered in the same way.

A Link Salad may use all three repeatedly.

We may move from one person to another, zoom from a country to a city, snap two facts together because they share a date, then move again from that new connection.

The process is flexible.
